F.A.Q.

What would a typical day be like for my child?

Tours of the Weekday Preschool are given Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday between the hours of 9:30 am and Noon for you to get a good picture of what is typical. We will also be happy to provide you with a schedule that is used in our classroom for your child’s age.

What are the teachers like?

All staff members are well-qualified Christians who come from a variety of educational backgrounds. Teachers receive CPR and First Aid training annually. Teachers are also required to attain at least 20 hours annually in continuing education workshops. This helps ensure that our staff remains well-trained and up-to-date on research in the field of educating young children.

What are the school days and times?

The Weekday Preschool operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm with options for Before Care and After Care (at an additional cost). Before Care is from 7:15 am – 9:00 am. After Care is from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm. The Metro Schools calendar is used for all regularly scheduled school closings as well as inclement weather, and there is no reduction in fees for those closings.

Is your program licensed?

Tennessee has classified our preschool as a 3-star facility with the Department of Human Services. This is the highest rating possible in our state! Look for the “Report Card” in the preschool foyer that outlines the higher-quality criteria Harpeth Heights Preschool has met.
